    Introduction

    This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes the practices of Slice of Life Ltd. (“GrindLock”, “we” or “us”) with respect to information relating to an identified or identifiable individual (“Personal Information”) collected, stored, used, transferred, shared and otherwise processed from or of our users (“you”) in connection with the GrindLock mobile application and related services (collectively, the “App” or the “Services”).

    “Personal Information” has the meaning given under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), the UK Data Protection Act 2018 (“UK Data Act”), the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), and other applicable privacy laws, where relevant. The controller is Slice of Life Ltd., a company registered in the United Kingdom.

    Personal Information We Collect

    Account and Device Data
    Identifiers and settings the App needs to operate, including device- or app-scoped identifiers, preferences, and locally stored data such as workout activity, lock and unlock settings, streaks, and aggregate statistics.

    Workout and Camera
    When you use workout features, the App may process camera frames on your device to estimate exercise form and count repetitions. This processing is intended to occur on your device for the core experience described in the App.

    Screen Time and App Restrictions
    If you enable Screen Time / Family Controls features, you choose apps or categories using Apple’s interfaces. Apple provides privacy-preserving selection tokens; we use that information to apply shields, schedules, and related functionality you request.

    Notifications
    If you opt in to notifications, we may process notification-related tokens and preferences as required by the platform.

    Technical and Diagnostics Data
    Device type, operating system, app version, diagnostics, crash and error logs, and similar technical information needed to operate and improve the App.

    Communication Data
    Information you provide when contacting us for support, including name, email, and message content.

    How We Use Your Information

    • Provide workouts, streaks, statistics, unlock sessions, and Screen Time–based restrictions as described in the App
    • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the App
    • Send service-related communications where appropriate
    • Comply with legal obligations and protect rights and safety

    We do not sell your Personal Information.

    Legal Basis for Processing (Where Applicable)

    We process Personal Information based on: contract (providing the Services); consent (where required for optional features); legitimate interests (security, improvement); and legal obligation.

    Information Sharing

    We may share Personal Information with: service providers who assist our operations (such as hosting or analytics); Apple for in-app purchases and platform services; professional advisers; competent authorities when required by law; and successors in a merger or asset sale. We do not sell Personal Information.

    Data Security

    We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

    Data Retention

    We retain Personal Information for as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. You may request deletion subject to legal exceptions.

    Your Rights

    EU/UK: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent where applicable.

    California: know/access/delete, opt-out of sale (we do not sell Personal Information), and non-discrimination for exercising rights.

    International Data Transfers

    Your Personal Information may be processed in countries other than where you live when we or our service providers use infrastructure or tools that operate globally — for example cloud storage, authentication, crash reporting, analytics, push notification delivery, payment or platform services, email or support tooling, and similar processing. This section is not limited to analytics. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or other permitted mechanisms.

    Changes to This Policy

    We may update this Policy. We may notify you of material changes through the App or other reasonable means. Continued use after changes may constitute acceptance where permitted.
